NCCRC is handicap accessible!       yOU ARE HERE:

Located in Colebrook, NCCRC offers indoor and outdoor recreation for communities of NH, VT, & ME.  Indoors, the Recreation Center includes an "L" shaped swimming pool, kid's pool, and bathrooms equipped with showers and lockers. Programs, such as, swim lessons, water aerobics, swim team, and more are offered.  Outdoors, NCCRC has completed construction of the skating rink, which is regulation hockey size, with lights for evening skating. In the near future, there are plans for a playground / picnic area, horseshoes, tennis court, and basketball court, along with developed programs for each.

MADE POSSIBLE

The pool was first envisioned by the late Dr. Gifford and his wife Dr. Marjorie Parsons.  In 2002, the North Country Community Recreation Center was formed as a 501 (c) (3), nonprofit organization.  A generous grant from Neil & Louise Tillotson, and land donated by the Reuben Washburn Family, multiple grants, and hundreds of donations, made it possible to open the doors in August, 2005.  Daniel Dagesse of Berlin City Dealerships, a former North Country resident, has pledged an additional one million dollars, in yearly installments of $100,000.   Currently, The Tillotson Foundation funds a Senior Program, in which adults 55 and older use the facility free of charge to socialize, swim, relax, exercise, and listen to guest speakers.

OUR GOAL

We would like to create an endowment fund to ensure the financial future of NCCRC. We are actively soliciting grants and donations for this purpose.  If you would like to contribute, please contact Executive Director, Bill Sambito, for more information, at (603) 237- 4019 or email: nccrc@verizon.net.

OUR MISSION

To unite the North Country Towns in an effort to improve the health and well-being of the communities through access to affordable, quality, structured recreation.
