The winter ice skating rink will be used as a skateboard park in the summer and for flea markets, sports activities, and concerts during "off" seasons. Plans call for construction of a permanent building in the summer of 2008, which will have bathrooms, storage, a place to put skates on, and an office.

The skateboard park will include lessons, events, and possible competitions.
